Denmark - Agreement on enhancing recruitment in health sector - August 31, 2024

Union HK Kommunal and the Copenhagen Region have reached an agreement on the allocation of 3-party funds for HKs in hospitals, psychiatry, and emergency response services. These funds aim to enhance retention and recruitment within the health sector. The agreement specifically targets psychiatry, emergency services, and the medical areas of regional hospitals. This focused approach ensures that the funds are directed towards sections with the most pressing needs. The agreement has been described as narrow yet beneficial, resulting from a collaborative and inclusive process. HK Kommunal expressed satisfaction with the agreement, emphasizing that it will be implemented following local negotiations throughout the summer and autumn.
