Trade unions representing public service and administration employees gathered to respond to stalled negotiations on salary increases. The meeting was called following the Government’s refusal to implement agreed raises for September 2024 and a lack of clarity on salary plans for 2025. The unions voiced strong concerns about the broken agreements and the Government’s evasion of discussions. The Government’s proposal of a 5% and 3% increase was revealed to be misleading, with one group set to receive no raise at all. This zero increase, omitted from official rhetoric, added fuel to the unions’ dissatisfaction.
