Czechia - First round of collective bargaining for public transport without result - October 31, 2024

The first bargaining round for public transport company Ceske drahy (ČD), with the participation of all trade unions and employers, took place on 30 October. At the beginning of the meeting, the employer submitted a new proposal for the collective agreement for 2025, which consists in maintaining all current employee benefits with an increase in wages by 1%, including contractual wages. For the union OSŽ, maintaining benefits is a step in the right direction, but the proposed 1% increase in contractual wages is completely unacceptable.
