Bulgaria - Strike at dairy producer - May 31, 2024

The employees of dairy producer LB Bulgaricum in the production base Vidin protested in an effort to win normal working conditions and adequate remuneration, as well as protecting the company from liquidation. They went on a three-day warning strike. Workers are demanding a 30% increase in basic wages. They also request guarantees for complying with all provisions of the labour code. According to the trade union organization KNSB, the workers are demanding safe working conditions, as well as active social dialogue and cooperation between the workers and management.
