Belgium - Employers to introduce a comprenshive MSD prevention policy - May 31, 2024

A new regulation on workplace ergonomics and the prevention of musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs) came into force on 25 May and is now part of the Code of Wellbeing at Work. The new law stipulates that employers must take ergonomics into account when designing and equipping new workplaces and when adapting existing workplaces. They must implement a policy to prevent MSDs or other health problems caused or made worse by musculoskeletal risks at work.
