The fourth round of collective negotiations for the approximately 55,000 employees in the railway sector ended with an agreement. Employees will receive a 4.1% wage increase. The agreement is thus well above the underlying inflation rate of 3.5%. The term of the collective agreement is twelve months. The union presented the collective agreement to the works councils, who supported the agreement with an overwhelming 98%.
