Austria - First bargaining round in retail without result - October 31, 2024

The first round of negotiations for the retail collective agreement was interrupted without any results. While the union GPA is striving for a wage increase of 4.8% (3.8% rolling inflation plus 1% - similar to the metalworkers) in addition to numerous framework demands, the employers are offering 2.8% and denying any increase in productivity in the industry. The second round will continue on November 5.
