Switzerland - Union calls for job preservation at bank - March 31, 2023

Employees of Credit Suisse bank should not pay for the mistakes of bank managers and authorities. The union confederation SGB supports the banking staff association in its commitment to preserving jobs and a good social plan. Mismanagement by Credit Suisse management and the collective failure of regulation led to the historic bailout. The employees are shocked about the impending consequences: both banks have a duty to prevent redundancy among employees. There is a lot at stake for the 17,000 employees of CS, and tens of thousands of jobs are potentially at risk indirectly.
