Sweden - New collective agreements for private health and eldercare - June 30, 2023

Trade union Kommunal and the Almega Vårdföretagarna employers’ organisation have negotiated two new collective agreements for employees working in health care and eldercare both of which run from 1 June 2023 to 31 May 2025. In the private health and social care agreement, the minimum wage will be increased by SEK 1,350 (€ 115) in 2023 and by 3.5% in 2024. The general wage increases will be SEK 1,156 (€ 100) in 2023 and SEK 995 (€ 85) in 2024. The new minimum salary as of 1 December 2023 will be SEK 21,297 (€ 1,830) and SEK 24,013 (€ 2,060) for professionals. These rates will rise to SEK 22,000 (€ 1,890) and SEK 24,805 (€ 2,130) in December 2024. In eldercare, the increases are similar with a SEK 1 350 (€ 115) increase in 2023 and the 2024 increase will be 3.3%.
