Sweden - Automobile workers on strike - October 31, 2023

According to the metalworkers union IF Metall, mechanics of Tesla walked off the job to protest against the electric carmaker's refusal to sign a collective agreement. The strike affects around 130 Tesla mechanics at seven workshops. According to the union, Tesla employees had "lower wages, don't have the same insurances, and have lower pensions" than other industry workers. Despite the fact that many of Tesla’s workers are union members, they cannot benefit from industry-wide collective agreements.
