Sweden - Agreement for state sector - October 31, 2023

Union Seko has reached an agreement with the Swedish Employment Agency on a new agreement in the state sector (RALS). The agreement runs for 24 months, from 1 October 2023 – 30 September 2025. The new agreement follows the so-called mark and involves a wage increase of 4.1% (year 1) and 3.3% (year 2), but a minimum of SEK 931 (€ 79) (year 2). RALS negotiations on the salaries and their distribution will now continue locally with the respective employers. This means that the Employer's Office's requests for unlimited permanent contracts are not included in the agreement. Seko has also prevented the other party's demands for major changes in working hours.
