Average gross earnings for January 2023 amounted to € 2,144.72. Compared to earnings for December 2022, they were lower in nominal terms by 0.7% and in real terms by 0.9%. Average net earnings amounted to € 1,399.03. Compared to earnings for December 2022, they were lower in nominal terms by 1.4% and in real terms by 1.6%. Compared to earnings in January of the previous year, they were higher: in nominal terms gross earnings increased by 11.5% (and in real terms by 1.4%) and net earnings by 13.2% (and in real terms by 2.9%).
