Romania - Women get almost 500 euro less than men - April 30, 2023

The National Trade Union Bloc revealed that women's annual salaries are on average € 468 lower compared to their male co-workers of the same company, position, and seniority. On a bigger scale, the pay gap between men and women is at 12.7%. The trade union therefore demands a rapid implementation of the European Pay Transparency Directive which was adopted at the end of April and whose key objective is to close the gender pay gap.
