The average monthly wage and salary in the enterprise sector in October 2023 compared with October 2022 increased nominally by 12.8% and amounted to PLN 7 544.98 (€ 1,743) gross. Compared with September 2023, average monthly gross wages and salaries increased nominally by 2.2%. This increase was caused by, among other things, payments of quarterly incentive and discretionary bonuses, service anniversary awards and retirement severance payments. The largest nominal increase in the average monthly gross wage and salary compared to the previous month occurred in agriculture, forestry, and fishing section (by 31.6%).
