Netherlands - Unions announce more public transport strikes - February 28, 2023

The Christian National Trade Union (CNV) and the Netherlands Trade Union Confederation (FNV) have announced that regional public transport workers will strike again on 22 and 24 February, marking the beginning of a new phase of industrial action for public transport. Over the past several months, regional public transport workers have staged various walk-outs at local and national levels, as trade unions remain unable to reach an agreement with public transport operators over salaries, work contracts and the workload of employees. Following the most recent strikes, the FNV and CNV said employers had until 20 February to settle on a new collective agreement. Otherwise, further industrial action would follow.
