Netherlands - Record wage increase for sports sector - November 30, 2023

Employees of sports associations and sports organizations will receive a pay increase of more than 13% over the next two years. Unions FNV, CNV and ‘De Unie’ concluded a new collective agreement with employers. This is the highest percentage increase ever agreed in the sports sector. The new collective agreement for sports has a term of 2 years and will come into effect on 1 January 2024 when employees will receive a 6% pay increase. As of 1 October 2024, 2% will be added. The end-of-year bonus will also be increased by 0.3%. On 1 April 2025, wages will increase by a further 5%. The end-of-year bonus will also increase by 0.3%.
