Netherlands - Collective agreement in dairy sector - May 31, 2023

Trade unions FNV and CNV and employers’ association Netherlands Dairy Organisation (NZO) reached a bargaining result. Strikes are therefore suspended for the time being. The agreement states that staff will receive a wage increase of almost 12% over 15 months. In addition, the early retirement scheme will be expanded. The agreement for the 12,000 employees in the dairy industry was reached after a series of strikes. Employees with 35 years of service in the dairy sector will be entitled to early retirement. Currently, this is after 45 years of service.
