Netherlands - 10% additional pay increase for mental health care workers - May 31, 2023

The trade union FNV has concluded important additional agreements with the employers’ association for mental health care (GGZ) about an extra wage increase. There will be an additional 10% wage increase on top of the wage increases already agreed in the current collective agreement. This is necessary because of the sharp rise in inflation. In 2023, an additional salary increase of 5% will be implemented, with a minimum of € 150, on top of the previously agreed salary increase of 2% with a minimum of € 60. A further salary increase of 2% with a minimum of € 60 is planned for 2024, followed by an additional increase of 5%, of which 1% is a one-off payment. The structural salary increase of 4% also has a minimum of € 120.
