Luxembourg - Unions criticize cargo airline - April 30, 2023

The trade union confederations OGBL and LCGB are jointly sharply criticizing cargo airline Cargolux. Its unwillingness to accept a decision of the National Conciliation Board (ONC) is "a novelty in Luxembourg", the unions wrote in a joint statement published on 26 April. Cargolux is fundamentally attacking the model of social dialogue. OGBL and LCGB had called the arbitration board after negotiations with Cargolux had not progressed: "After 15 rounds of negotiations on a new collective agreement for the more than 1,800 Cargolux employees, which have lasted for ten months, the Cargolux management continues to reject any wage increase or sustainable improvement of working conditions and adequate job security".
