Luxembourg - Strike at manufacturing company - November 30, 2023

Employees of plastic granulate manufacturer Ampacet went on strike in front of the company's headquarters in Dudelange. With firecrackers, horns, banners and red OGBL vests, more than a hundred people gathered in front of the factory. The local council unanimously passed a resolution to support the employees. As part of the renegotiation of the collective agreement, union OGBL is demanding a wage increase of 2.5% and three additional days of vacation. But so far there has been no agreement, the management does not provide for an arbitration procedure and ultimately there has been no collective agreement since 20 November.
