A 24-hour strike to be held on 25 April was announced by employees at the Ministry of Culture and Sports. The decision for the strike was taken by the Union of Employees of the Ministry of Culture & Sports in collaboration with the Panhellenic Federation of Culture & Sports Ministry Employees (POE-YPPO). This mobilization is aimed against a law changing five major museums' status from a public to a private entity. The museums will continue receiving state funds but will also be independently responsible for fundraising and outreach campaigns.
