Employees in the food industry in Saxony can look forward to a monthly increase in wages of up to €600. Trade union NGG and employers agreed on the wage increase for the employees of the Cargill oil mill in Riesa, the Edeka fruit juice drink manufacturer Sonnländer in Rötha, the margarine factory in Dresden and the dough pieces factory in Dommitzsch. A first wave of warning strikes in the past few weeks preceded the agreement, which further reduces the wage gap with the locations in the West.
