After several warning strikes, trade union NGG reached a collective agreement for around 3,500 employees in the mineral water and soft drinks industry in Hesse, Rhineland-Palatinate and Saarland. From 1 May wages will increase by € 250. This corresponds to a 7.7% increase for skilled workers and up to 10.2% for the lower pay groups. The training allowances increase by € 200 in all training years. From 1 April 2024, wages will increase by a further € 150 in all salary groups and the training allowances by a further € 100. In addition, there will be an inflation compensation premium of € 1,500 net in May 2023. In May 2024 there will be a further inflation compensation bonus of € 750 net. The collective agreement will terminate on 28 February 2025 at the earliest.
