The average monthly net earnings per person in paid employment for August 2023 was € 1,163, which represented a nominal increase of 1.9% and a real increase of 1.4% compared to July 2023. The average monthly gross earnings per person in paid employment for August 2023 was € 1,614, which represented a nominal increase of 2.2% and a real increase of 1.7% compared to July 2023. The highest average monthly net earnings per person in paid employment for August 2023 were paid in air transport (€ 2,059). The lowest earnings were paid in manufacturing of wearing apparel (€ 747).
