In the third quarter of 2023, in comparison with the second quarter of 2023, the average monthly wages and salaries increased by 2.2% and reached 2,000 BGN (€ 1,026). The highest increase in wages and salaries was reported in ‘Public administration and defence; compulsory social security’ (13.4%), ‘Education’ (12.2%), and in ‘agriculture, forestry and fishing’ (7.5%).
