Bulgaria - Minimum wage increase approved - October 31, 2023

The cabinet approved the new minimum wage parameters. From 1 January 2024, it will be increased from 780 leva (€ 399) to 933 leva (€ 477), which is an increase of nearly 20%. The minimum wage has been set in accordance with the new formula that the minimum wage should be 50% of the annual average gross salary in the last two quarters of the previous year and the first two quarters of the current year.
