Austria - Agreement in chemical industry - April 30, 2023

After intensive discussions in the second round of negotiations, the Association of the Austrian Chemical Industry (FCIO) and the trade unions PROGE and GPA have agreed on a new collective agreement. The wages and salaries of most employees in the chemical industry will be increased by 9% as of 1 May 2023, plus an additional, permanent amount of € 48. The minimum wages and salaries and the wages of apprentices will increase by 9.9%. The new collective agreement comes into effect on 1 May 2023 with a term of 12 months.
