According to Secretary-General of the union Comisiones Obreras (CCOO), the Government must substantially increase the national minimum wage in 2023 to protect vulnerable families from the economic crisis. According to CCOO, the monthly minimum wage must be increased to around €1,100 to “absorb all the prices increases of 2022”. The national monthly minimum wage is €1,000 gross per month and is paid in 14 instalments.
