Serbia - Education workers strike - November 30, 2022

Teachers staged protests in 47 cities, towns and municipalities, demanding a stop to all forms of violence in schools, and for teachers to be granted the status of officials. The specific trigger for the protest action was student violence against an English teacher from the Technical School in Trstenik, which was videotaped and went viral on social media. The protest action, “Stop violence in schools”, was organized by the Union of Trade Unions of Educational Workers of Serbia.
