Romania - Wages frozen at pipe producer - March 31, 2022

The trade union federation Cartel Alfa pointed out that nearly 2,500 employees of TMK Artrom, one of the largest industrial pipe producers, cannot receive their salaries due to the blocking of accounts in the context of sanctions imposed on Russia. Romania’s government set up a multi-institutional working group to discuss potential solutions, but no concrete plans have been put on the table yet.
