In its annual report, union LANV reflects on a difficult but successful 2021. Although the Covid-19 measures were relaxed somewhat over the course of the year, individual sectors were still suffering badly from the pandemic. There was a lot of overtime work in the health sector and the staff had to take on tasks that actually surpassed their qualifications. Due to the lockdowns in the hospitality industry, many employees were forced to look for another job. However, soon a “milestone” for the hospitality industry may be reached as a collective agreement will probably be concluded between the LANV and the hotel and gastronomy association.
