Germany - Highest pay rise in steel industry in 30 years - June 30, 2022

After IG Metall had reached the highest wage agreement in 30 years for the 68,000 employees in the north­west German steel industry, this agreement was also adopted for the east German steel industry. From 1 August, wages will increase by 6.5%. For the months of June and July there is a one-off payment of €500. Apprentices receive €200.
