After a series of strikes ver.di and the employers’ association German Railways (Deutsche Eisenbahnen e.V.) have agreed on a collective bargaining agreement for the approximately 6,000 employees who are covered by the railway collective agreement. Wages and salaries will increase retroactively to 1 April 2022 by 4.5%. Apprentices will receive € 65 more per month and an additional day of vacation from 2023. A regulation on job bike leasing was also agreed. The term of the collective agreement is 12 months, until March 2023. The ver.di collective bargaining committee accepted the result unanimously.
