Germany - 5.6% higher wages in textile industry - May 31, 2022

The trade union IG Metall and the employers for the East German textile industry agreed on a 5.6% wage rise in two steps and an increase in the annual special payment from 60% to 75%. The collective agreement on partial retirement remains in place. After the employers started the third round of negotiations with a slightly improved offer, IG Metall nevertheless prevailed with strong increases in wages for the more than 12,0 employees in the textile industry in East Germany.
