EU Sources - Data on minimum wages in the EU - January 31, 2022

Eurostat has published the first data for 2022 on minimum wages in the EU. Across the group of 21 Member States that have a statutory national minimum wage, the highest minimum wage (in Luxembourg, at €2,256) was almost seven times higher than the lowest (in Bulgaria, €332). However, the disparities are considerably smaller once price-level differences are taken into account. When expressed in purchasing power standard (PPS), minimum wages in the Member States with lower price levels become relatively higher compared with those in the Member States with higher price levels.
