According to a new ILO report Collective bargaining can advance equality and foster inclusion. The higher the coverage of employees by collective agreements, the lower the wage differences. This is one of the key findings of the report, which is based on a review of collective agreements and practices in 80 countries at different levels of economic development and with different regulatory frameworks. The report concludes that collective bargaining can be an effective to reduce wage inequality, both and enterprise and industry level.
