In the second quarter of 2022, in comparison with the first quarter of 2022, the average monthly wages and salaries increased by 7.8% and reached 1,730 BGN (€885), according to the National Statistical Institute. The highest increase in wages and salaries was reported in education (16.2%), in agriculture, forestry and fishing (15.5%), and in mining and quarrying (14.6%). A decrease of wages and salaries by 2.0% was recorded in human health and social work activities.
