Belgium - Police unions reach agreement on working conditions - January 31, 2022

Police unions VSOA and NSPV reached an agreement with the government regarding pay and working conditions, after months of negotiations. The agreement includes an improvement in the status of the more than 48,000 police officers. For the first time since the creation of the Integrated Police in 2001, a structural pay increase of 5% (on average) will be implemented, and career opportunities and working conditions will be improved.
