Austria - Metal workers demand 10.6% pay rise - September 30, 2022

The trade unions set out their demands during the negotiations on collective agreements in the metal industry with its around 200,000 employees. They include a salary and wage increase of 10.6%, the introduction of a surcharge for Saturday work, a higher overtime premium from the tenth working hour, easier access to the sixth week of vacation and a starting salary of €1,000 for apprenticeship trainees.
