Serbia - Union announces strike - January 31, 2021

The independent union of Magneti Marelli, Kragujevac, has announced a strike as the company allegedly changed its rules of operation during the Christmas holiday without informing the union. The union said that Fiat Plastic, owned by Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA), had already tried to force the trade union representatives to sign a collective agreement which contains, among other things, a waiver of strike action. The company has been a beneficiary of all possible subsidies and state relief, both before and during the epidemic.
