Croatia - Labour market stable - January 31, 2021

According to the Employers’ Association, ten months after the beginning of the crisis, it can be concluded that not much has changed yet, despite announcements of a complete change in the functioning of the labour market. According to the Croatian Pension Insurance Institute (HZMO), at the end of December, the total number of insured persons who pay pension contributions was 1,536,300, which is only 0.6% (8,892 persons) less than in December 2019. The average number of insured persons during the year, on the other hand, was 1.2% or 17,940 persons less than the year before.
