Austria - Plans to lower compensation for the unemployed - May 31, 2021

OVP-Wirtschaftsbund, a sub-organization of the Austrian People’s Party OVP, wants to tighten the regime for the long-term unemployed, aiming to reduce unemployment benefits to below 40% and oblige long-term unemployed people to take jobs all over the country. Trade unions are against the policy.
