Austria - New rules against wage and social dumping - June 30, 2021

The amendment of the Act to Combat Wage and Social Dumping with a modified penalty framework is due to come into force at the beginning of September. This also implements the EU Posting of Workers Directive. Compared to the draft assessment, the penalty framework for formal offenses in connection with wage and social dumping has been adapted and expanded. The aim is to improve the current framework in order to combat unfair competition through wage and social dumping and to restore the necessary EU conformity of the regulations.
