Slovakia - Employment rate falls, wages increase - November 30, 2020

According to figures presented by the Statistical Office (SÚSR), the year-on-year employment rate fell in September in most sectors, but the pace of decline slowed down in most of them compared to August. The largest decrease with 9.1% took place in accommodation by 16.7% and in the restaurant and beverage sector. On the other hand, in September wages increased year-on-year in most sectors, except in sales and repair of motor vehicles, while their growth rate accelerated compared to August.
