An opinion article in the Irish Times advocates a ‘just transition’ approach - one that is equitable, fair, inclusive and sustainable in terms of its social, economic and ecological impact. This approach needs to be firmly embedded within government policy. According to the article, a just transition approach would afford all citizens access to the many opportunities that lie ahead in our increasingly innovative world.
