France - Unemployment is steadily declining - February 29, 2020

The number of unemployed in France fell to 2.4 million last year. The unemployment rate stood at 8.1% of the labour force, as compared to 8.8% in 2018. According to the president, this demonstrates the effectiveness of policies. The French parliament is again debating the rise of the retirement age.
