France - €8 billion rescue package for car industry - May 31, 2020

The government has set out an €8 billion bailout for its ailing car industry, which has been hit hard by the coronavirus outbreak. As part of the plan, €1 billion has been put aside to give grants of up to €7,000 to help people buy electric vehicles. The car industry in France comprises 4,000 businesses and 900,000 employees overall.
