Cyprus - Unemployment increases slightly - August 31, 2020

The Statistical Service of the Republic of Cyprus reported that unemployment stood at 6.8% during the second quarter of 2020, compared to 6.5% in the corresponding quarter of 2019,. According to the results of the Labour Force Survey, the labour force in the 2nd quarter of 2020 amounted to 448,466 persons or 62.2% of the population - males 68.6% and females 56.3% - in comparison to 62.8%, in the corresponding quarter of 2019.
