Denmark -Massive job losses at Aarhus University -February 21, 2014

Aarhus University announced a plan to save 225 million kroner by 2016. The plan will make about 190 employees redundant, while an additional 162 will be offered a voluntary redundancy scheme. A further 42 will be offered a voluntary retirement scheme, known as a seniorordning. The trade unions are shocked by the size of the measures and blame the university leadership for not acting in time.
