Serbia -Country-wide warning strike by construction workers -April 18, 2013

Over 25,000 construction workers participated in a one hour warning strike on 12 April. The workers demand regular payment of salaries, a safe working environment and a normal eight-hour working day. A spokesperson of the Trade Union of Construction and Building Materials Industry Workers said the construction workers would go on an indefinite strike if the government failed to intervene to improve conditions in the sector within thirty days.
